The only problem I see is that the lock-block parking lot is very easily disturbed & therefore the mountings could easily be lifted. Much better in concrete base! Great idea & looks fantastic! :-)

What about placing at the front of the bay, then as the car parks the barrier can be raised to prevent the car being stolen

What if someone figures out how to mimic the frequency of the remote control and raises it up while the rightful owner of the parking spot is parked?

Why wouldn't you just have a swinging or rolling gate. I put 2 twisted strands of barbed wire on top of mine.
Guess what? No more trespassing !
