Another Jehovahs Witnesses video. I just wanted to touch how how JWs (current and former members) have this mentality of Us vs Them.

Disclaimer: It’s not wrong to have this Us vs Them mindset sometimes. Because you’re made to feel like an outsider so it’s only natural to see yourself as no longer part of the group. But when you see yourself as being so different from the world because growing up a JW is so “special” that sometimes you can keep this mentality of being “special” when in reality everything that you experience in the world also happens in the Kingdom Hall.

I just noticed for myself that I was looking for a way to validate my experiences and I really felt like I wasn’t able to fit in with “the world” but I realized for myself that half the people in “the world” don’t feel like they belong in “the world” most of the time. But with a heavy JW cultural influence on me, it took me a while to balance my viewpoint.

Idk if anyone else feels the same way. I haven’t heard too many people talk about this. So I wanted to make another video.
