Surrounded by WINE - a Road Trip to Alentejo, Portugal

It's time for another holiday to take a break from all the renovation works, rest, relax and enjoy some of the delicious treats that Portugal has to offer.

Join us for a mini adventure and a road trip from Sertã through the fortified border towns and vineyards of Alentejo. We'll eat, drink, be merry and show you some of the things we got up to over a short three night stay at a 17th century converted convent. We visit an excellent winery and visit a whole load of beautiful old buildings.

The weather may not be great, but the tourists have gone home! I'm always willing to travel without blazing sunshine and warmth if it means the rest of my countrymen have taken their rug rats, curtain climbers, ankle biters, and yard apes home.
I can't begin to tell you how jealous I am at this moment. Lunch made my mouth water!!!
I love touring castles, churches, old villas, and villages because it gives me a connection to history that reading can't manage. I love the tiles on the buildings. They are so colorful and creative.
