This scene in itself is a big hint on how they have become close as a husband and wife. Annie being worried for him and waiting for him willfully to have dinner together and then asking him (as a wife) to keep phone away while eating. Fakhir being worried about her not having dinner on time and getting all worked up as soon as she fell and asking her to wake up. These are all subtle hints of their closeness.

How are people not expecting this? It was shown in the very first teaser, apart from that, it's a good thing they didn't show romantic scenes, and also that kind of, but that day when Fakhir stood up for Annie, everyone knew they were connecting to each other like husband wife, this had to happen sooner or later, I am sad for Annie though because she's afraid she might never get a chance to study further, also she might be afraid about how will she handle all of it, I love Aina's acting, this scene brought tears in my eyes, this scene isn't only acted well but it has been filmed so well, after Baby Baji, I am somehow emotioonally connected to this drama.
I also feel sorry for Fakhir because Annie had someone who'd step up for her right while Fakhir on the other hand lost all his studies and his friends, I feel sad for both of them for some reason
