I really got turned onto this in Vegas when you had it cranking up in your room! There are several apps I can think of for this little system.

The only trouble I have using it at a wedding reception is that there probably wouldn't be a hot zone or quiet zone anymore (hot zone - Dancefloor / quiet zone - where grandma and uncle bob talk in the back of the room). However, for wedding ceremonies or places where no quiet zone is nessessary, TOPS!

@jujomoqui I hook them to1/4 input on each of the BOSE L1 Compacts, left, and right! I would recommend L1® Model I dual bass package, so you will have more low end! I never use the L1 Compacts for a school event, you need to add more bass, so get the bigger brother to the L1 Compact. You can add as many bass modules, as you want? You can not add BOSE Bass modules with the compacts!

@naveen4nse @naveen4nse @naveen4nse As I said if your customers are satisfied with the quality of your performance, and sound, then, the Bose system will pay for itself. One selling point I tell my customers, is fact that they can have a normal conversation, with out getting blasted when we turn up the music on the dance floor. Doesn't have to be loud to sound good.

@TitoMysta3000 What do ya mean? I have already paid for them with my gigs since December. All it takes is at least three gigs, and they are paid for. Depending on what your are charging? If my customer want quality, then they are expected to pay for that quality. I don't do this for free. Fact is I may even purchase the L1's with the seprate bass units, next year.

@briansredd They are pretty good speakers for certain event, not all event's. I just did an outside Gig, where they just wanted back ground music. There where at least 400 people. The comment I got the most, from just about everyone, was how awesome the sound was, from such a small little speaker. People in the parking could make out music, and vocals with clarity.

As I said in the video, if the customer is amazed by the quality of the sound, then that is all that matters. Many DJ's and Musicians use and enjoy the quality of this system. So far I have had no complaints from my customer. I do have Subs and another system, if they really want to shake the building. Check out all the other videos on YouTube, I'm not the only one sold on them. And I just may have to get some QSC K8S as well to complete my system :-)

I have two L1 Model 1's & a Compact. The Compact is a great unit, but I like the sound of the Model 1's better (more balanced in the mid-range frequencies). Also for doing school dances the Model 1's are much louder & the B1 bass modules kick allot lower tones (40Hz vs 60 Hz) then the Compacts 8" sub. Just a few things to consider.

@OutLoudProductionsDJ Your very right, those kids need the roof to shake. Great for small to medium size event. The plus side, is It's very easy to set up.
Another way to use it is, If the wedding couple wants a live singer, or live sound for the ceremony, in conjuction with a MP3 player, or Laptop. It can multi-task, just won't do your house cleaning :-)

@MrJamesdimaano1516 The bottom of the L1 is the bass unit. Great speaker for small events, and espcially weddings! I do have some subs that will shake the ground, but I use them for larger events. Thanks for the comment!

Great Video! Nice system

MP3s are compressed files, plus the soundcard in the player can degrade quality, so a more accurate test would be to use a WAV file played through at 0db.

I have heard that the sound clearity on Boses is fabulous though.

i think you should of went with some qsc
k8s and maybe a ksub. i really think bose is just made for ceremonies not receptions. good luck with them. how much you pay?

It not something I would buy but it should work great. It small and portable. thats great for mobile dj's. Good video man its a nice little setup.
