Winning the primary does not validate anything, winning the general by a land slide . . . that might work.
Assuming you do not attempt to use violence and/or shenanigans to effect voter turnout. If you want a fair fight, do your part to motivate any and everyone to get out and vote.
Don't try to affect their vote, just motivate them to inform THEMSELVES and vote how THEY choose to vote.

When authors of a book on this topic state that this country is divided 50/50, it completely delegitimizes their content… The US is NOT split 50/50 between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives are by far the minority, making up less than a third of total voters, with liberals compromising over 40% of the electorate. The problem is that the electoral systems of the US are designed to confound the democratic principle of majority rule with protections for the minority, giving over-sized weight to the votes of that conservative minority. Democrats need to expand their majority in the Senate, while maintaining control of the House, in order to abolish the filibuster and enact voting rights legislation that ensures the will of the majority in all cases… And yes, the minority needs to learn to accept their place.

I've worked as an elections volunteer for over 40 years and when I hear folk slander elections workers and question the validity of the US elections process it infuriates me. Each county in every State has a County Clerk that is responsible for educating elections workers on the "acceptible" and "unacceptible" behaviors on-the-clock, like not talking about elections related material and not allowing others to, as well, and to be on our best behavior due to the number of watchdog groups and organisations that watch the whole process. These Clerks are elected, so they are always aware of the massive elections observations prevelent in this country. There are multiple security measures required to disperse the voting equipment and ballots, including a three-step verification of the associated serial numbers for each machine or lot of ballots. There is no way to "hack" a voting machine because they don't have the necessary firmware (bluetooth or wifi capability) to make remote access possible, period. You have to hardwire those machines to access the data, aka: votes. To think that someone could easily change or subvert that system is ludicrous. It would take hours, if not days to alter those machines, while the votes are tabulated within hours of the elections. We, the People of the USA, have THE MOST SECURE elections system in the world.
