Hands-on with Oppo's expanding phone

A smartphone with an expanding display that can grow and shrink on demand has been demonstrated by Chinese phone-maker Oppo.

The device has a flexible display that rolls up inside the device, letting the screen expand from 6.7in (17cm) to 7.4in (18.8cm).

Chris Fox went hands-on with the concept phone to see what it was like.

This one is brilliant, a much better solution than galaxy fold.
the phone looks cleaner & no clunky mechanism, The UI is adapting with the screen width automatically which is awesome.
I'm sure in the future people will accept this form factor than fold

That is actually really cool, regardless of the actual day to day use, reliability etc.. The fact its a working prototype which looks like is working well is honorable.

This phone looks very promising for the next step up in the right direction. Going to watch your video again just so I don’t miss anything. Futuristic looking. Great job with it too, unfortunate it’s not on the market yet, but, hopefully in the near future soon.

I love oppo my fav ph was the wide r7 plus until screen broke couldnt get a cheap replacement now got a73 been good but not the same need bigger again this would do it. Hope they release it.here in aussie soon.. I want it
