I have been to both and I prefer Mobile. However New Orleans did not disappoint either. At the end of the day Mobilians have major love for New Orleans.

First of all, Mardi wasn’t stated in Alabama, it’s from France, France owned Louisiana, not Alabama. Yes the first celebration of Fat Tuesday was held there, but it was always a Louisiana culture! Second, it can’t be better because y’all also using another part of Louisiana culture, jazz music that originated from a black man in New Orleans, Louisiana! So until Alabama uses it culture to celebrate Mardi Gras “Fat Tuesday” the celebration between these two cities could never compare! And let’s really be honest here come on the New Orleans culture does it better!!!! The music, the food, the people, the city and it’s entertainments voodoo, the saint Louis cemetery and much more New Orleans is more of a tourist attraction that some Alabama.

IM NOT TRYING TO BE FUNNY, CAUSE IM FROM MOBILE ALABAMA, BUT NEW ORLEANS PARADES ARE WAY BETTER. WE BE WANTING TO SEE ALOT OF MARCHING BANDS, WE DONT GET ALOT OF BANDS LIKE NEW ORLEANS DOES. BACK IN 1990S MOBILE ALABAMA HAD ALL THE BAND ENTERTAINEMENT.

MOBILE, hands down. New Orleans has to pit a CAP on the number of parades, there are too many, and some.way to big. The crowds in New Orleans are selfish and rude.
Mobile stuck to tradition, they definately do it better and calmer
