NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SESSION—22 MARCH 2025

The ceremony marks the swearing-in of the eight non-voting members of the 8th National Assembly, who were nominated by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

The 8th National Assembly consists of 104 members: 96 voting members elected via proportional representation from party lists and 8 non-voting members appointed by President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

The Swapo Party has 51 seats, followed by the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) with 20 seats, Affirmative Repositioning (AR) with 6, the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) with 5, the Landless People's Movement (LPM) with 5, and smaller parties.
