The best thing Verizon can do with Ms. Mayer, is to get rid of her, pronto. With her salary, she has only managed to frustrate the heck out of us users, who by the way have moved on from Yahoo. Thanks Google.

The mistake Marissa Layers made at Yahoo was that she kept fighting a losing battle, aka playing catchup. Mobile apps, tumblr acquisition, etc. There was nothing new. What she really needed to do was to look for the next big thing. For example, I never heard her mentioning about VR. Just imagine what you can do when VR is integrated with fantasy sports. Other services and platforms can also be created with VR. In the tech world, when you lose one war you have to start the next war. Playing catchup is not the way to go. Apple's mobile revolution is a great example of how it caught up to Microsoft.

regardless who was managing the company, users moved beyond Yahoo long time ago ..
If Mark or Marissa Mayer or even me was in charge, , am pretty sure this is how it was going to end, the public lost interest and trust, and that's is unrecoverable

One of the most annoying CEO's ever. No wonder Yahoo went from something to nothing quickly and they actually paid her millions and millions. Unreal. Oh and she says Alibaba is a great company, WOW, Alibaba is based solely on 100% counterfeit goods and she condones it.

If she will be part of Verizon management, then I am selling my Verizon stocks...I understand that yahoo was in pretty bad shape when she took over... but it was still having lot of potentials and resource, all it needed was right direction based on what future is hold for technology. That was the whole reason that Yahoo got her. And God it got messed up. She even couldn't use her past influence and connection with google to make yahoo's app a default app in android like amazon and others..even that would have brought back many into yahoo.

Another example that success is circumstantial. She was at the right moment in Google then she was just an overpaid CEO. I cannot mention one single improvement in Yahoo an at the end that's what matters in a company that provide services.
