This social shopping and mingling district of West Tehran full of great people is one of the nicest neighborhoods I have ever seen everywhere as an American who has traveled the world physically from British Columbia to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to Chang Mai, Thailand, to Harnosand, Sweden. It is conservative yet modern, safe for reasonable self-expression; there is a kind of democracy in this city scape, also, I would note. Iran also exports great Persian rugs.
