Joplin Missouri May 22, 2011 An F5 Tornado Struck leaving complete destruction

Besides complete devastation what else can you say.

Seven more people were confirmed dead over the last 24 hours, bringing the number of fatalities from the powerful Joplin tornado to 139, the city said on Saturday.

The tornado, already the deadliest single twister in the United States since 1947, injured more than 900 people, though officials said that figure could be higher.

@globex2x Thats very possible, every article I've read and all reports on TV are saying 75%. Either way it was one of worst I've seen in many years. Thank you for the correction.

i feel such heart ache when i watch these videos. as i could have died that night in the torndo. I was the cashier at dollar tree and i saved 8 peoples lives. got hurt in the process but i saved them and that is what keeps me going each day. with out that freezer in there we would have all died. we were trying to get into the bathroom but could not get in. luckly we got into the freezer because there is no more bathrrom. toilet and sink are gone. we could have died.
