Converting from decimal to hexadecimal representation | Pre-Algebra | Khan Academy

Sorry for the weird question, but as far as I learned, I can covert 2000 to 7D0 that means a 4 digit converted to 3 digit. But how to convert the value lets says 4 to 5 digit? For example 2000 to 7D02?

Easy enough. But, I bet you will not get any easy conversions on a test whereby the "1's" place is 0.

I'm learning this but I'm confused at some point. From a website there is 357 decimal that gets convert to hexadecimal, the issue is that after 357 gets divided by 16 the result is 22. But instead of dividing it, the 22 gets subtracted by 16. Is his a mistake from the website?
