Thank you so much for your word, it really blessed me. I must admit l got worried and miss judged you when you read from Malachi, "you have robbed me says the Lord". I thought, here we go again, lies, distortion and manipulation of God's Word. I must say l was pleasantly suprise when you preached the truth.
As a young man l "tithed" as every one else in the church. In the meantime l did some of my own studies and came to the same conclusion as you. I've been very disappointed with many preachers down through the years who have distorted the Word by using fear or promising a great financial return on their tithe "investment", etc. Either these preachers are ignorant of the distorted present day teaching of the tithe, or they go along with it, willfully fleesing money from the ignorant, and especiallly the poor who have been promised a great return on their last dime. I do believe many preachers who have distorted God's word for financial gain will have to give an account and one day.
