I have Hell Knight flashbacks of Doom 2016.
This is obviously for Xen's convoluted environment which can put a nice dynamic for the gunplay, but the animations for jumping needs a bit more work I think.
It needs to feel more weighty but Xen also does have lower gravity than Earth so i'm not sure how that supposed to work.

All I can say is epic. Also please give them the ability to throw snark nests as grenades. Snarks really need to seem as a threat.

Just need to revamp the grunt AI and we'll be golden because in HL1 the grunt AI was actually pretty dangerous, they threw grenades at you in cover, they'd flank you, they'd cover fire as they retreated, they were deadly like soldiers should be and you couldn't just run at them and gun em down. Make their AI like the HL1 ones and the game will be beyond perfection.

And seriously we appreciate and respect the hell out of you guys for doing all of this HL1 was one of my first games aside from Doom the fact that I have a reboot of Doom and a remake of HL1 is awesome.

Movement and attacks remind me of the Hunters from Episode 2. Really digging the changes that have been made.

Alien Grunts are now sans undertale and they will try to dodge your attacks.

Man, I just bought Black Mesa again and I'm super impressed at how far the game's come. Surface Tension in particular knocked my socks off! Amazing visuals, but faithful enough to HL1 that I found myself reflexively shooting into certain corners and pipes and hitting the enemies I expected to hit!

These grunts looks more challenger or smarther when they try to aproach to you, I like that, This Xen will be legendary.

Something interesting you should do guys is making the alien grunts in xen elite grunts, that have new abilities, attacks and strategies and are able to full take advantage of position they are placed in.
A grunt with a riot shield is a great example

You guys should keep up these AI overhauls. This game was meant to be: man with crowbar in an alien world comes through to ours. Yes the final product was a bit run and gun, but this is our chance for change. You can really make it feel like we’re stirring shit up.
