This song is so saaaad but it's so beautiful! I really enjoyed writing the lyrics for this one and I'm happy with how they turned out. I hope you like them too! I would've started this series with 'Daughter of Evil' but I lost my lyrics that I wrote for it somewhere. I'll have to keep looking or just start over :/

The former queen, Riliane, stands staring at the shore. She stands in silent for about ten minutes and then.. she starts sobbing. She had just lost her best friend because of her dumb decisions. She knelt down onto the sand and closed her eyes, clutching a glass bottle and trying to remember the old days.

Suddenly, she was back in the castle. Her mother sat and a piano, and her twin was next to her, watching. They were quiet for a few minutes, and then their mother started singing:

"If you write a wish upon a paper and you place it into a glass bottle and it's washed away by the ocean, then someday, there's a chance that it may just come true.."

And the daydream ended. Riliane opened her eyes and looked at the water, suddenly noticing how clear it was. She remembered a day like this with her brother, Allen.

She had been crying over Kyle, her crush; it was the day she found out he liked a girl from another kingdom named Michaela. Allen found out too, and had taken her to the shore as a way of calming her down. They were sitting by the shore together, laughing and joking around as usual. Then Allen took out a glass bottle containing some rolled-up parchment.

"Would miss Rin like to place it in the water?" 'Rin' was Allen's nickname for Riliane. "What even is IT?" Allen started to sing their mother's tune.

"If you write a wish upon a paper and you place it into a glass bottle and it's washed away by the ocean, then someday there's a chance that it may just come true.."

Riliane stared at him, then looked away. "I don't want to play some silly commoner's game like that!" Allen just laughed, "Alright then, someday maybe you will." He drew his attention to the bottle and closed his eyes. "I wish for miss Rin to get bigger breasts, " He said, jokingly. Riliane looked at him, shocked. Allen, noticing this, laughed and changed the wish. "I wish for Rin to be happy forever." Riliane smiled, "But Len, you already make me the happiest I can be."

And it was true. Now that he was dead, a part of her died with him. She looked at the glass bottle in her hand. There was a piece of parchment inside, reading: "I wish to be reunited with my dearest, Len, in our next life." She set it in the water and watched it float away into the horizon, eyes full of tears. It disappeared and she smiled, hoping one day it would come true.




"Rin? Rin, wake up! Our first concert is today!"

When I listen to regret message, I don't cry, I just kinda die inside. The meaning just kinda slapped inner grief into my face. She overlooked what she had, and lost it all in one day. It really makes you think. She lost the only thing that truly mattered. And losing that, shattered her.
