Rick Clunn retires from Bassmaster Elite Series after 50 years

After 50 years with B.A.S.S., Rick Clunn decided to step away from full-time Elite Series competition at the end of the 2024 season. He will continue to fish select events throughout his home region. Clunn, an icon in the sport of bass fishing, made 32 Bassmaster Classics, won 16 events, 4 Classics and an AOY title. Happy for Rick Clunn. One of my favorite anglers of all time. Love listening to him speak on bass fishing, as he has such unique and beautiful knowledge about fishing and life overall. To be 78 years old and still catching fish on the elites is a testament to just how good he is at catching bass. I hope he stays healthy and continues to catch bass for many more years.
