Mathematics is the purest of all sciences there is. We are going to start with numbers and number systems which forms the most fundamental part of mathematics. You remember studying about natural numbers i.e. 1, 2, 3 or whole numbers which include 0 as well. You also know what integers are. But wait!! Are these the only numbers on the number line? Or are there more numbers?
