Aardman Animations logo [720p] (1989)

First logo of British animation studio, Aardman Animations aka Aardman Studios. The company is based in Bristol, UK and was founded in 1972 by Peter Lord and David Sproxton. Aardman is known for films that made by the stop-motion clay animation technique. After some short films in late 1990's, the studio entered the computer animation market in 2006 with it's first CG film Flushed Away. In 1999, Aardman made a deal with DreamWorks to co-finance and distribute films and in 2007, Aardman made a deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The company's name is taken from one of its early characters, a superhero created for Vision On in 1972.
