As a teenager I’m mature enough to know do not speed. It is illegal and dangerous. The drivers using snap are 100% liable. I think you should be mature to drive.

Man these are sad. My dad was recently in a car accident which left him paralyzed. Snapchat and reckless driving had nothing to do with it but it's just sad how easily people's lives can be ended or ruined from car accidents. I really feel for all the families of those who were injured. It hurts

Parents blaming snapchat for the dumb things their kids did is insane. Those same parents have most likely done stupid things too but were lucky enough to tell the story. People have been finding stupid ways to get a high for years. Snapchat is here today, gone tomorrow. Accountability is becoming rare by the day, while stupidity and excuses is at an all-time high. The only victims here are the ones who got caught in the crossfire.

The Snapchat speed filter actually saved me once. My cars speedometer crapped out on a roadtrip so I used the Snapchat speed filter to set cruise control. It was incredibly helpful in that moment.

Legally Snapchat isn’t liable. They never forced or coerced the drivers to drive recklessly. These were people who consciously made a decision.

But realistically when developing such a filter there’s no way nobody thought this may be a bad idea. What else would a speedometer filter be used for? I think i just think it’s very stupid. But yes 99% of the blame is on the people who decided to speed. And I hate that it put other people at risk.
