Nate, your referencing, variety of questions, and humble inquiries, make this channel inspirational, and informative. I'm not a pro, but gain insight, and confidence following your content. Thank you for all your contents.

This was a good one guys. I think Having Eric Perkins on the show would be another great episode. He’s a custom home builder from North Carolina and he’s also here on YouTube.

The point about clothing at work is more important than most might initially think. As a general rule, dress just a notch (or even half notch) above your pay grade and you will be immediately surprised at the respect it garners.

I used to buy work clothing at thrift stores and I always found there to be an abundance of plain white, long sleeve, collared, button-up shirts, super inexpensive. I was interested in the long sleeves for some sun protection and some abrasion resistance as well. Almost immediately, whenever an architect or engineer or developer or inspector was walking the site and they would look for someone to answer a question about something, they would immediately hone-in on me. I simply looked a little neater than the guy with the ripped up t-shirt. I think it was the single best “get-me-noticed” move I ever made. Within a year of starting this, the company I worked for at the time, took notice of this and began suppling, plain white, long sleeved, collared, button-ups for every one bcz they felt it projected a proffesional image, that nobody else was doing at that time.

Never underestimate the importance of your appearance and never discount the thrift stores as an excellent source to pick up inexpensive and very presentable work clothing.

You both mentioned leaving in imperfections and mistakes in your content. One of my favorite episodes of EC was when your dad had to rebuild the stairs. I realized he wasn't perfect, like me. I saw he wouldn't tolerate incorrect work. And I was impressed how, when he knew what had to be done, he ripped right into it. Reminded me of my Dad.

47:20 A good reason for self-performing concrete-related tasks is so you can control the schedule. Another is to keep your people working.

Great show. If you don’t mind, could you tell me the make and model of those sturdy looking mic stands you use?

Nate. I love this channel as well as your main channel. I have no idea why you don’t have more view and likes. This stuff is very interesting to me. I’ve been watching EC for maybe 5 or 6 years? And I’m proud to be a Patreon for EC. Have you thought of promoting EC2 more? I don’t know how that all works. Keep it up and I’ll continue to watch. Thank you and your dad. Best to your whole family!

Really cool collaboratio I follow awesome framers on Ig.

I love my tru-werk work shorts, but would never wear them for welding/grinding/or any metal work whatsoever.
Burn victims have to suffer a wire brush in their flesh (along with scrapers etc )to remove any synthetic materials that will cause an infection.

Gday fellas. In all your videos I see you using your skillsaw and that it has a rear handle. Here in Australia we have circular saws but I’ve only ever seen top handles.
Are the two different styles for different purposes or is it just a cultural difference? Cheers
