Robert Downey Jr. CONFIRMS he is playing Victor Von Doom

Avengers: Doomsday is an upcoming superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The film will see the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, The film is a sequel to The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It is the thirty-ninth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and third installment of Phase Six. The film is set to be released on May 1, 2026.

A sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars is an upcoming superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The film is a sequel to The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Doomsday. It is the fortieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the fourth and final installment of Phase Six and The Multiverse Saga. The film is set to be released on May 7, 2027.

RDJ knew who Doom was he tried out for Doom for the very first F4 film. What he probably may not have known was Doom 2015 Secret Wars arc.

RDJ almost played Doctor Doom in the original Fantastic 4 film from 2005 until the role eventually landed on Julian McMahon. It’s funny how things work out sometimes.

Why is it so hard for ppl online to accept that he's playing Victor von doom? They said it at SDCC he said it in the interview, it's not that hard to accept, he's playing Victor von doom in fantastic four, then becomes the main villain in 2 avengers movies

The fact that this is the first time they are bringing in doctor doom in the mcu and not played by a different actor is just wrong and yet people are saying hes not a tony stark variant well it's pretty clear that he is because we are still in the multiverse saga and we know rdj already played ironman and why are them saying let's get this right makes no sense this is wrong to have Robert Downey jr play dr doom because he already played ironman like when people see robert downey jr they see him as ironman
