This film shows how Chemical Foam extinguisher, which were made in the UK between the 1920's and 1970's worked, using a combination of archive footage and a 60+ year old preserved extinguisher's contents.

Very cool, especially given the age of those solutions. What's the smell like on that stuff? Our department switched back to protein foam due to our proximity to waterways. The odor is... something else.
