How to turn off Geforce Experience ALT+Z

This video will show you how to Disable NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience In-Game Overlay Icons & Alt+Z Notification.

How to disable Geforce Experience ALT+Z
- open the Share overlay by pressing Alt+Z
- click on the Cogwheel icon in the top right.
- Select “Notifications”
- Change the “Open/close in game overlay” notification to “Off”.

If you don't want to see Geforce Experience overlay, follow these steps below:

- Click the “Share” icon to the left of your name.
- Click the “Instant Replay” icon in the overlay and then choose “Turn Off”.
- Close the overlay.

What I was looking for was to disable the In-Game overlay. You'll be able to do that by going to the Ge-force Experience client like the second half of this video. Then head to the settings Icon. Under General look for "IN-GAME OVERLAY" You'll be able to toggle that off.

if you're here becausd somehow your game seemed choopier it probably nvidia turned on either in game overlay or battery boost which capped fps to 30 fps. you can find both of these in Nvidia Geoforce settings

Alt + Z is conflicting with WordPress gutenberg shortcut Shift + Alt + Z, that is why I have to disable nvidia overlay completely.

go to ge force experience, go to settings now look down for "IN-GAME OVERLAY" disable that and when you press alt+z again it will not enter in overlay mode. this video is not showing this

Wow, here I was really struggling to figure out how to get rid of that one key assignment. The option in the notification setting will not disable it. It's that green overlay button in the general settings.
