In Hoover, you could hear the storm go by and abruptly die down. And then in unison, a symphony of emergency vehicle sirens all started at once.

I was in that tornado it was so scary hope everyone who was in it is ok .RIP to the five people who died. I knew their was bad weather and I was sitting upstairs and got a warning on my phone that said their was a tornado in Trussville so I ran downstairs and got in my shelter and the tornado pasted right by be and a bunch of trees were down . And I’m am extremely thankful that it didn’t damage my house.

I watched that supercell pass by a couple of miles away from my house on Logan Martin Lake. They said the tornado lifted at the St Clair County border with Shelby County, and didn't touch back down until after crossing the lake on the other side where it hit Ohatchee and killed 5 people there.

Even with the long gap in between without touching the ground, the supercell still had a strong green tint in the clouds as it went by. Eerie.

How people deal with this on a yearly basis is mind blowing

This was taken from the street my company has a building on, further down the street across from the long building on the lower right of the screen. The pickup truck is one of many used by Maranatha, the company right next to us.
