LYRICS
There is a fountain
Wrapped in a haze of light
Flooded with goodness
Rushing with words of life

They heal to the bone
They’re sweet to my soul
And I’m swept away

I am good
You say I’m good
I am worthy
Wanted
Loved by You

This is living breathing proof
That I am chosen
Wanted
Loved by You
I'm undone with love for You

There is a person
Light running through His hands
Speaking with kindness
Brimming with gentleness

He heals to the bone
He speaks straight to the soul
And I’m swept away

Within all the joy
And through all of the waiting
I’m undone with love for You

And I could never forget
The spirit that changed me
I’m undone with love for You
I’m undone with love for You

You are the Father
Love rushing through Your veins
Warm and devoted
Tenderness filled with strength

And You heal to the bone
Speak life to the soul
And I’m swept away

And I’m swept away

Even though too often society, or even our own inner narrative, tells us that we are unwanted and unloved, if we understood just how loved we are, it would unravel us to our core.

This song is not talking about the quality of one's self, but a state of being GOOD in the Lord.

"I am good" is not the only lyric of the song. "And I could never forget the spirit that changed me". The song opens up talking about a fountain that is flooded with goodness and how the Word of this fountain i.e. God is healing and changing. So we are healed and we are changed. Yes we are sinners but we are redeemed through Jesus. This song is a reminder of the love and healing and change and reflection of Jesus in us. Not "I am good" in and of myself but because of the God that loved me first. If "I am good" is the only thing you're looking at you're not looking at the whole picture.

I swear they gotta stop adding ads when the song is intense. You're trying to be in spirit when a kitkat commercial comes up.

I’m a mess.
I’m never gonna get it right.
All I do is fail Him.
I’m filthy.

I am good.
You say I'm good.
I am worthy.
Wanted.
Loved by You.

Read Romans 8 and you’ll understand this song. we are good because GOD IS GOOD! It’s not by our acts or works that makes us good, God chose us FIRST and that makes us Good because he is SO GOOD TO SAY I CHOOSE YOI!

Hafta been totally judgmental about Christian music, but Mosaic MSC really knows their stuff! I totally love their music. I'm an atheist too!!

the only reasonable explanation for misunderstanding or even finding offense in these lyrics is if a person does not have a full and clear understanding of what Christ accomplished on the cross. we are no longer under the law, but under grace.. Christ HAS made us good, he HAS made us worthy (IN HIM) and that is a truth i will not shy away from proclaiming any chance i get.

For the people complaining about the lyrics did you hear the rest of the song ? It’s obviously not about us it’s about him! The place I am in right now. These are the words I needed, feeling loved or seeing the way he loves me or sees me as something good. That draws me near him. That makes me praise him! For new believers it’s hard to grasp the idea that there is someone out there that loves us unconditionally. Thank you Mosaic

For those of you still confused about the song, Pastor Erwin of Mosaic had a preaching about the significance of the song and a 7-Da devotional. Hope you can all check it out.❤️

We are undeserving but never unworthy
*Jesus thought we were *Worth dying for dying for John 3:16
We are corrupted by our sinful actions but never bad
*YHWH proclaimed we were *Good in Genesis 1:31
While we have been loveless we will never be unlovable
*He has loved us even in our darkness and sin Romans 5:8, Jeremiah 31:3
This song is the truth the Holy Spirit attests to it and so does the word of God
You are indeed chosen, wanted, worthy and loved by God ❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎🤗

For all those saying the “I’m good You say I’m good line” is self-serving, I understand your wrestle. BUT the Bible does say that we are the righteousness of Christ” and that “His love has been perfected in us so that as He is, so are we in this world”. God has made us righteous, He has made us good. And I believe that’s the lens through which we should see ourselves. Through the grace of Jesus rather than through our own good works (when we can attain them), trusting in our works and actions sounds holy but it’s really just a trap that leads to condemnation.
If he said I’m righteous then that’s how I’ll choose to see myself! I understand that in actuality I’m on a journey, but throughout that journey I have a sure identity, righteousness, “good”ness because I’m found in Him. ✌🏼

Is not about us, is all about Jesus. Only He is good. He doesn’t died for us because we are something, but only because He is good.

Stumbled upon this gem on Spotify and it's so beautiful. I found my worth in Jesus Christ, the ONE who died for me - the greatest love of all. God bless you all!

God said from the beginning: And God made man in his image, in the image of God he made him: male and female he made the. Genesis 1:29
and And God saw everything which he had made and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. Genesis 1:31

So.. God never lies, since the beginning he said WE ARE GOOD, He loves us.

I don't think this is a song for corporate worship. It's not worshipful. I won't ever put it in a set list.
Instead, I think this is an amazing and powerful song for meditating on and reminding us of our identity in Christ. There are many of us -- most of us -- who gain identity in what's put upon us (nurture). God calls us worthy of His forgiveness and mercy, so incredibly loved, and wanted beyond our understanding -- our hearts and attention is ever so wanted by Christ. There's nothing wrong with writing Christian music that's not a prayer or praise to lift up; what's important is keeping *worship* music separated from the *contemporary*.
