Boya BY-20 mic - have you tested if the plug-n-play feature works the same way for laptops? Can you just plug them in and record with Audacity or use them for Zoom calls?

Is this sound processed?
I just got mine and they don't sound anywhere near as good when placed on the shirt. They also sound not better but worse than the internal mic from my Samsung-A40 (a 200$ phone new, now $100). I see a use casee recording at a distance or with phone at arms length but anything closer, no matter the angle, my phone does a better job by itself :-(

Thanks for the good review! Did you adjust the volume in post? I just bought the V1 for a 14pro (partially based on your review). But when I attach it to my t-shirt just like you, the recording volume is terribly low. It works properly if the mic is right in front of my mouth. I've exchanged it in the store to another device, but it's the same issue.

You should run 4K in 24FPS, and put your Shutter to 1/48. Iso as low as possible, then the sun is out of your face. Just let the camera not do everything auto. Only the autofocus is super decent in smartphones

Is this mic good for outdoor use in traffic situations with horn sounds, vehicle noise, birds, and construction noise? My home is very close to a main road, and it's noisy 24/7. I can't record a video without hearing vehicle horns; they're beeping constantly. I have tried the Asus noise-canceling adapter, but it's not working well with my Android device—it picks up all the road noise too. Could anyone suggest if this mic would solve these problems?

sadly mine did not work at all on 2 separate phones from Samsung (the s9 plus and Note8). the lights on.. but the phones do not pick anything from the mics
