2:32 - 2:37 The difference here is brutal. The reflections in FM look so artificial and exaggerated, while GT7 is very close to a real car.

Forza cars look like toys. GT cars actually look close to realism. It's not even close.

Why did they paint the wing the body color in fm8, i swear so many car models are just plain wrong, the essenza, the c8.r and a bunch others all have wrong wheel colors, wrong liveries or wrongly painted parts of the caf itself, dont get why since they all look fine in fm7 and fh5

As someone who only plays Xbox and always love Forza .. I will admit Gran Turismo has the better looking models. Especially with Lighting and reflections. It looks photorealistic!
Forza still looks amazing too, no doubt, but GT has it beat in the car model area. Now I have to try out GT with VR and then maybe I'll be convinced to get a PS5 lol

Turn 10 definitely should’ve outsourced the vehicle model designs to the horizon 5 designers and paint material simulation and also paint color accuracy. Because the paint color accuracy is a little off in forza. I’m not sure if it’s because of hdr or the way the graphics engine simulates car paint colors. An additional month of play testing and quality control would’ve did forza some justice but we are all beta testers at this point. A late November Maybe early December release would’ve been ideal no way they was working on this for 6 years and released it in the unstable state that it’s in. At least they are doing what they can to fix known issues.

Hello good comparison, I love the forza franchise but I am aware that gran turismo is more careful with the models of the cars, but I’m playing in series x quality mode, and it has a slightly better definition than the video, of course I know that on YouTube it does not represent the same quality, is this forza running on series s or x? And in what way? Performance or visual?

Aah, that soundtrack of FM4… The new Forza Motorsport is a step into the right direction, but it misses the soul of older ones. Really miss playing FM3 and 4 for countless hours on Xbox 360.

Not a great showing here from FM2023. Ambient occlusion/RTAO almost looks broken; no shadowing in the rims and brake discs in 3:14 and 5:39. There doesn't seem to be any satin or matte PBR reflections anywhere, most noticeable once again on the rims and brake discs, which are supposed to have a satin finish. The metallic effect on the base paint layer seems to be completely missing. Wrong material on the trim around the rear quarter windows (3:27) - it's painted while in GT7 and IRL, it is black. Chrome bits in the interior don't seem to use RT or an interior cubemap, it almost looks like a fallback static reflection of the sky. I wish they paid as much attention to the cars as they did the environments.

Forza is just wrong here. Why are there hood pins? Why is the carbon fiber wing body colored? Why is the matte black hood glossy? Why are the wheels awkward looking compared to the real ones? Both GT7 and FM8 are pretty bad in the sound department, but at least the former has the supercharger whine intact.

You know it’s something when Horizon 5 as a far superior model than its current gen counterpart, sounds better, and doesn’t have the car in freaking A class.
