What if we want to use it to protect our nipples from damage? Is that okay, or do we have to feed without shields outside of latch problems? I want to breastfeed but don't want my nipples to become chafed/cracked. Also don't want to feel bites once the baby has teeth.

I had breast reduction and my nipples are so flat it’s hard for him to latch
