I’m a RC8C owner and actually was in the process of getting the Trofeo as well; I’d say the Trofeo is obviously better “value”.
But I really wanted the extra supersport class speed/power that comes with the RC and additionally the opportunity to track with Dani Pedrosa and Mika Kallio was absolutely unforgettable and well worth the cost of entry.

I have some videos of the RC on my channel if you’re interested, cheers! :)

Excellent video Motochatter and thanks for sharing.
Both Aprilia models are stunningly beautiful bikes.
Which one of the two bikes does your channel feel has that an extra X factor?
Happy riding all.

Excellent review on both options, I totally agree with you on Aprilia’s business model being the better marketing tool and the fact it is actually available to the public either in road guise or with the Trofeo makes it the winner for me regardless of it not being as exclusive as the KTM. Both beautiful bikes though. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great content!

The KTM dry weight is with the bike ready to ride, just no fuel in the tank.

The Aprillia dry weight is without battery and fluids so the KTM is much lighter that those figures suggest in comparison.

And the KTM RC8 C is a Kräemer Racing HKR GP-2 R with KTM fairings and Akrapovic muffler so despite them all being sold you can but the same bike from Kräemer for bit less money.

Also they have an RR model of it coming out next year with more power and suspension upgrades.

Aprillia is good value for money.
HKR GP-2 R is a much lighter, faster, more powerful track bike.

Limited numbers because Kramer probably can't make enough of them fast enough.
