Sal determines whether expressions with unknown rational/irrational numbers are rational or irrational.

High School Math on Khan Academy: Did you realize that the word "algebra" comes from Arabic (just like "algorithm" and "al jazeera" and "Aladdin")? And what is so great about algebra anyway? This tutorial doesn't explore algebra so much as it introduces the history and ideas that underpin it.

1:30 but if you take, for example, 9/7.. 2 rational numbers.. and divide them, it won't give you a rational number.. so my question is.. is the answer refering about the fraction only, and not the result from it?
