US birth rate drops to record low

New data from the CDC shows that US birthing rates hit a record low with roughly 76,000 fewer births than last year. Its the lowest one-year count since 1979. FOX 5 NY's Michelle Ross has more on what may be behind the drop.

Out of everyone I knew in high school, so about 100 of my friends I knew, only 5 decided to have kids. The friends who had kids moved to locations financially better to raise children. The rest are still trying to figure out how to become successful in their careers or have sadly past away.

Too expensive! Daycare alone is like $2k a month per kid. Not to mention for the woman, you have to carry it for 9 months and it may or may not ruin your body.

Women end up having to take care of those children by themselves in a lot of cases. Being single parent is rough.

Reasons for not having any kids -
1. Everything is extremely expensive
2. Even great jobs don't pay enough to match up with the ever increasing cost of living
3. Constantly have to use ideas to make things work which takes investment of time and effort. So no time and energy remaining to spend on kids.
