The lion you see here is Leo The Lion, the lion used since 1957.

I actually like this way better with the 1995 roar. I always liked the 1995 roar the best.

This logo is taken from the animated films: *"SWAN LAKE"* (1981), *"ALADDIN AND THE MAGIC LAMP"* (1982), *"THE CARE BEARS MOVIE"* (1985), *"THE CHIPMUNK ADVENTURE"* (1987) and *"ROCK-A-DOODLE"* (1992) before The Samuel Goldwyn Company opening logo.

I betcha they haven't been changing their lion to a new lion like: "Carl", or "Michael".
So far we had Slats, Bob, Jackie, Tanner, George, Willie, and now Leo.

I've seen this specific version in the Kino Lorber versions of The Man with No Name Trilogy and the Criterion releases of The Black Stallion and Midnight Cowboy.

The first time I’ve ever seen this logo was in a old pink panther episode in 1963 I don’t remember but yeah

My aunt actually thought this was a female lioness who came on and roared.  Actually, it was a lion with a short mane.  I wonder if this is Leo or one of the newer lions, Bicarb
