I had dartitis, it is not fun. Standing there wanting to throw the dart but can't let go. Playing against a few mates, they kept telling me to throw the bloody dart and I said "I CAN'T!". How I managed to get rid of it took time. I used to just throw random darts without aiming just to get the arm moving in a regular motion and then slowly begin to reintroduce aiming with the dart. Thankfully it worked for me.

I think in sports, generally, this is known as 'the Yips'. I saw Daryl Tuffey, a New Zealand cricket bowler, forget how to bowl. I'm not sure he ever recovered.
