Welcome to this weeks episode. This week Natasha continues the series on the German Training Scale and discusses step 4 - 6 of the scale and demonstrates these on her horse Abe.

Natasha's Dressage Mastery Academy is a program that takes the German Training Scale and combines it with her very own Rider Success Scale. The German Training Scale is fantastic but without the rider mastering other areas the scale can be quite ineffective. Learn as Natasha teaches you about both scales.

We hope you enjoy this video and learn lots from this lesson.

Until next week, happy and safe riding :)

love your way of explaining things. I've just started training my four year old friesian gelding Diablo. I'm a novice rider so your lessons really help me teach him the basics. I compete in Trek mostly but think I'll give this dressage thing a go too when we have our basics sorted just for fun. Keep the videos coming and sorry to hear about Dante. Always hard when you lose a furry baby. :-(

Thank you for yet another great video. Iv learnt lots of handy tips over the last few months that I have been subscribed to you.
A video that i would love to see as I'm sure other would as well if you haven't already done one in the past, what are the dressage levels in order? What are the required movements in them? And what is the judge looking for during the test in these levels?
Many thanks - Bella :)

Hi Natasha, do you have to do this at elementary level or novice level or priest St George level?

straightness, in de German scale is not that the horse is straight in the sense of bending equally left and right. the straightness refers to the strength of the horse on both sides. the horse needs to be strong enough on both hind legs in order to achieve collection.b ring able to go straight is required before going to contact. in you horses you have slight contact on the rein and place the front legs in the middle of the hind legs.
