The Difference Between Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae

Here’s a quick example of the difference between ska, rocksteady, and reggae on guitar.

I heard somewhere that rocksteady started out in New Orleans and Jamaicans would pick it up on their transistor radios under the right conditions and that that in turn influenced the Jamaican styles of rocksteady and ska? Not sure if I understood correctly

You need to show the switch from Rocksteady to Reggae without shifting into a shuffle. Something like the straight time skank pattern from Pressure Drop would make the point
