I really loved your perspective on flight planning. When flying out of Chicago Executive, I'm sure dealing with O'Hare's airspace and weather conditions is quite a challenge, not to mention managing runway weight limitations. Being flexible is indeed what private flying is all about. As someone currently in ground school and flying with a friend out of KARR in the Chicago suburbs and KPGD in South Florida, I find it invaluable to gain different perspectives like yours.

Thanks for sharing this Al, this was an extremely valuable video. With the Vision Jets range, I would’ve thought it would be non-stop for sure, but I never considered the weight limits (simmer working on PPL), and other factors. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎉

My goodness. Three people (190lb avg) and only 40 lbs of luggage and the SF50 is over weight with full fuel. Ummmm…I see 114 gallons available upon arrival and understand concerns with alternates. I assume min fuel landing at alternate is 45 mins or maybe 68g leaving you little fuel (~46g) to travel to alternate. Yikes. This aircraft is very limited in practical operation
