I have an iphone 12 and i can vouch for the fact that ever since i updated it to ios 18, my phone's become slower than it was and shows degraded performance. i feel like it was a deliberate move from apple.

Same phone. All you’re getting with the newer phone is satellite connection, Dynamic Island, and 48MP camera (more megapixels isn’t really better).

As someone who doesn't do gaming on my phone, upgrading to 16 from my 12 Mini would save me like 15 seconds of waiting for stuff to load in total per day, not worth to upgrade yet. I will toss in a new battery soon and keep on using it probably until the support runs out in few years :)

Just bought a 12 128gb for my mom, and I was really nicely surprised while setting it up how premium and modern it looks even today. I find using iPhone 12 quite enjoyable compared to my 15 pro I must admit. It's an amazing phone.

(Both have same screen size, refresh rate, iOS version)

When iPhone 16 wins: yeah, as you can see it loaded the app faster. ( the app loads 0.3 sec faster).
