I was supposed to be there with mom tonight but both my husband and I got sick so my reservations for both today at MK and tomorrow for Epcot are useless and I’m sad. 😭 I’m glad you were there and filmed it though, you did a great job!

As beautiful as this was, it pales in comparison to NYE in past seasons. This was scaled back!!! In previous years, the fireworks took place all OVER the Magic Kingdom, not just near Cinderella Castle. You had the regular nightly fireworks (just like this one) which were about 20 - 25 minutes, followed by the countdown pandemonium, followed by another 30 minutes of constant fireworks and music all over the park. It was insanity. I remember walking behind the castle, looking at other guests, comparing myself with them and the same expressions... We all had the "OMG, they're STILL GOING?!?!?" looks on our mugs! Absolutely mind-blowing! Now THAT was true Disney Magic at work! I hope the new management remembers what put Disney above the competition...

The choreography of the fireworks is truly a skill and art form. Wow. I think of any time of year, New Years would be the best time to be at Magic Kingdom. I so appreciate you recording this so that we can see it. Just beautiful! ❤️ Can you imagine what it cost to put on that show?? I would love a still portrait of the castle at night with fireworks ...
