This Sheriff is professional and helpful. I've watched several of his news conferences and he is knowledgeable and intelligent. I wish I could remember how to spell his name. Great job!

Why is there no captioning for hearing impaired viewers??? There are many people who have lost their hearing later in life and English is their language, not Sign Language.

I am sure we can all see her. But camera should be focused on that map. Not do a close up of her

Why don’t they show the maps and not the lady

And don’t forget about the alligators and crocs too. Everyone leave right now and go visit a family until this storm says clear! Even if it’s sunny and no hurricane-Radar says Ian is impatient atm.

In my opinion: Everyone should be filling all the empty water bottles they can find, including soda. Gonna need tarps, staple guns, axes, tire pligs, fist aid supplies & gas. Don't park your vehicle on low ground or drive in strong winds. Start filling those water containers now & drain your pools. Sand bags will help divert moving water, but not static flood water. Stay away from windows when it hits & get low as possible to the ground level. Stay away from outside walls & keeping all inside doors closed otherwise you can loose the roof fast (big problem). Outside structures by open areas will be hit hard so you may want to fall back into the community to where the wind diffuses more.

I’m looking within the Pinellas county website for a list of shelters. No list seems to come up when I click on the list. When the map comes up, there’s nothing showing up. I’m looking on my iPhone. Does it not show up on a cell phone?

Go north or get inside the state. Wait it out. It will be ok.

can we get a quick shout out to the women doing ASL, I don't understand a thing she's saying but she looked like she was having a good time with it.

The commissioner was on his phone while others were speaking, very disrespectful and distracting!

"Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston (1937). Read that great novel about a woman trying to survive a Florida hurricane, as it roars through. The more things change, the more they are the same.

“Nobody should think that in any way shape or form, anything we’re saying now means ‘wait.’ It doesn’t, it means go.”

Why can't she sign with normal faces? It's distracting 😣
