Because of the way you see it, that is why we as a people have an anthem song. The scales are not balanced for Liberty when it comes to Black Americans. The wealth of this country came from slavery… free labor. Yes, we want our on song. When the American anthem was written, slavery in this country was still acceptable on a big scale. You need to walk in my shoes as a black female living through the civil rights movement before you can truly comment without going through our struggles as a race of people.
