Life hack - TV antenna hack

I learned to do this in the 90s as a kid because I had got a little 13" TV for Christmas and my dad would get mad that I was staying up watching letterman and Conan when it's past my bedtime. So every night he would take my antenna.. little did he know I was still watching TV with the sound down and captions on. Lol

More importantly my question is why the hell did you walk around the table to get to the other side of the TV instead of just stepping over to the other side of the TV just questioning that don't know whether or not there was wires or something in the way

For anyone doubting, this does work. You may have issues with some channels but those with the strongest signal in your area will show up 👍

You can make it even better by getting another paper clip and wrapping it around the first paper clip so they are 45 degrees away from each other and you’ll have a little mini dipole antenna -electrical engineer here

Yes sir. This definitely works. I have been using a paperclip as an antenna for the last 6 years. I received 37 channels through the power of paper clip antenna 📎

Guys my brother did this when he bought his first house. To cheap to go and buy an antenna from the store he opted for a paper clip and it worked. I'm not sure how safe the method is, but he never had a fire or got electrocuted even tho I'm sure there is a likelihood of that happening lol

Here are 2 things you can do if your TV does not have the coax input.

1. Get a paperclip, and also get a TV aerial wall plate (the socket on the wall), and plug in the paperclip into the coaxial end of the wall plate, and connect the TV aerial cable into the other side going to the TV. Run a channel scan to make sure it will work.

2. Get a coax port to antenna cable converter (these are cheap, and easy to use), and on the coax side, plug in your paperclip. Plug the other end into the aerial port, and run a channel scan.

Ok I can the channels we found the channels but I used my earring tip it works but the TV is kind of static should I used the paper clip instead I don't have the paper clip lol
