Priviyet Katyusha! Please could you do a conversation on Amphibians (newts, salamanders, molges, frogs, toads, lagyushka, ) ; and on Reptiles too. I have many Russian books on Zoology but can't read. This free Russian language POD is excellent! Ochen Blagadarium!

The word апельсин ('appelsin') is exactly the same in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish.
(but not in German or Polish) i am wondering if this word might
have been transferred to russia from Scandinavia during the viking area?

Hello! I was just wondering if some of you guys can make some English subs for this fantastic piece of satire composed by Shostakovich: "Anti-Formalist Rayok". I saw part of it in a Documentary called "Shostakovich Against Stalin: the War Symphonies". The satire in it immediately attracted me. However, when I tried to find a full version of the rayok, I couldn't find one with English subtitles. And it's just so sad for me that I couldn't understand a word. As I don't think I'll be patient enough to learn the whole language to understand this, I was hoping if someone who know both Russian and English may help me with this. You don't have to do it during work and get things complicated by making exceptions of your organization's rules; you can do it on your personal channel if you want to help. I would really appreciate your help. I hope I wouldn't bring you much trouble.

*(In fact, my mothertongue is Chinese instead of English. But, nah, I think it would be more precise and also more easy if you translate Russian into English, since they both belong to the Indo-European Language-Family. That's why I'd rather not choose to seek help from some
