Trying out my Breville Scraper Mixer Pro for the first time

I just bought this unit today and I love it....I was concerned about the top rocking, but I see yous does also, so im Ok now with that !!! happy baking !!! :)

It doesn't dance across the counter but the head does wobble a bit. I never leave it mixing for that long, I'm always stopping and starting it, so I've not run into the problem of it not turning off. I mostly use it to make frostings and I love it for that--it can handle thick icing unlike the hand mixers I have broken trying it. My biggest problem is that the scraper beater no longer scrapes the sides of the bowl evenly, which is a little annoying but not huge.

yes it does rock but I use it daily and it doesn't seem to hurt it--still working great!

Honestly I mostly use it for frosting and it does wobble a lot with that because I mix it on very high speed and the frosting is pretty thick. I think it would with lighter things too, just not as much.

This is so helpful, thank you! I'm researching stand mixers and want to make bread, and it's great to see (and hear) how this model will perform. Does the head wobble when you make cakes and lighter things, too?

I see this is from 2012, how has the mixer held up over time? Still going?

Seems a little sticky .. may be less liquid would have done the trick.
