For justification: Many people shake when nervous and scared of something but shaking is also extremely common when doing strenuous activities, stress, or dehydration/ other deficiencies. This guy is probably dehydrated or has a deficiency of some type, judging by his tutorial of something that almost no professional tree climbers on youtube do. If you're gonna hate at least be educated.

Im wondering about the load on the figure 8. Is it tested to withstand your weight (body/gear) on the side? It’s partly loaded normally and it’s partly loaded on the side as it pushes against the branch there?

It would be safer if you put the loops through the small hole and put a carabiner through it instead of wrapping around
