Hello ! I just finished the first course of the Google ux design certification, and I must say I choose it because I can have french subtitles or french translation if I don't understand some words. But when I complete this certification, I'm planning to take courses from Uxcel or Ixdf to have more knowledge and maybe feedback. But overall the course are great and easy to follow so I think if you are a beginner it can help you . Thanks for your video!

Could you please provide the best flow with resources links to learn UX design by yourself?

I took this course in 2022 because my employer at the time wanted me to, and I agree with all your points. I think the thing that was most lacking for me was not having a cohort to receive meaningful feedback from or bounce ideas off of. Also, as you mention, there aren't any UX experts acting as teachers that can provide feedback. Peer grading was unreliable, and it was obvious some people had even cheated or stolen their projects from somewhere else. I think it's great for setting a baseline and getting some foundational knowledge, but compared to a certification that I received from the University of Washington (which was also 10x more expensive), it was pretty lacking. A question for you as someone that hires: is it worth it to have on a resume, still?

I completed the first two Google UX Design certificate courses and ultimately decided not to proceed. I agree with your point that it's too slow. I did a UX bootcamp about 10 years ago and have been working full-time as a frontend developer for the past few years. Since I've been on the engineering side I thought the Google course would be a good way to refresh my knowledge but I've ended up gaining more valuable information through YouTube videos, Uxcel, and through working on my own projects.

Geez someone recommended this course as a good one not the perfect... I know there others out there much better but i can't afford to pay because i dont have a job right now, so i was considering this one from Google. Now I'm not sure any more... the problem is: i need something because alone I'm not going anywhere. I learned a bit of UI during a training for 5/6 weeks but not that much deep. I still need more knowledge about it. The few other certifications i'm aware are very expensive or not good enough . I cannot say I'm an UX/UI designer without a certification at least and some experience. College didn't teach me anything about UX/UI so bad of a graphic design school . I all i know I learned with an student from my college but he learned through online courses too. What should I do now???? =(

What course do you recommend that has higher certificate value because in my experience as a freelancer trying to get a job, hiring managers don't really bother to look at projects without seeing a good qualification or certificate. It would be helpful if you can provide me some insights about this.
