Because my journey is that of a "HObby Potter" and must grab studio experiences in cracks of time, this week's adventures were small and (unfortunately) did not have a lot of studio time in!

But I was able to accomplish some things and DID decide on my next Bucket List Item #2 - Clean out my OWN dishware and make a set for myself.
- I did find some time to throw on the wheel, attempt some more brown stoneware, enjoy some white stoneware and welcome in a "special delivery"!!!
Thankfully, I have more time scheduled in the studio for next week!

I like your new graphics. Very professional. 👍🏼👌🏼🙌🏼. I have the same dish issue as you do. My cupboards are full of mass produced ceramics. I have wanted to make my own dishes forever but never made the time for it. My husband has a favorite Tupperware cup that he’ll never let me get rid of and it certainly shows no signs of wear even after 20 years. Oh well. Life’s too short to fuss about an old yellow plastic cup. 😉

I learned a trick from a production potter if your bag of clay is somewhat hard. She slams the entire 25lb bag of clay on the floor about 6 to 8 times, making sure to hit each side, keeping the clay square, basically wedging the whole bag at one time. I teach pottery at a Rec Center, and this was a game changer for us!! It works SO well. My students were all amazed. :-)

Good luck getting your husband switched over. I've had zero luck with mine. Almost all my mugs are beautiful ones that I've collected from all over North America and he still prefers the ones from the dollar store :(
