I have recently completed PhD from IITD. Your video is funny but Many things are not relatable at all. We have respect for research. I have never seen any scholar doing personal work of guide.
Yes, our life is full of work as apart from research we take classes of Btech or MTech, design lab, conduct exam, paper corrections and many more but for that MHRD pay us stipend.

Yes this is totally relatable.... I'm pursuing pg but I see PhD students of our department they were so frustrated and they always do all the works of guide like a labour they take our classes if the guide is absent they come to University at 10 and left at 8 after doing all the works. The guide always insults them. That's why I'll never do PhD in my life 🥲

I have a PhD from an IIT. I did it because I thought I could go to the USA. I couldn't go to the USA nor got a job in academics since my PhD is in an interdisciplinary field. Now I am doing work in the software industry since I know coding and used it in my PhD work. I could have gotten it just after my graduation or post graduation.
I lived on false assumptions, false sense of getting attention by being an IITian PhD.
Lost precious time of my life, lived on low fellowship in the name of salary to give false happiness to my parents.
I am a long shot, did b tech, mtech, jrf ship, then got into PhD, by the time I reached in my 30s.
At the end, if you don't get what you intended for, you feel like a joke. Now I feel like a joke.
