The next piece of advice is, be the kind of woman who is actually interested in the answer.

Married for 13 years, together 17... he STILL gets excited whenever I ask him about history. There are several periods/topics he favors, and finding new books for him is always so exciting for ME because I know he will be genuinely happy when I give them to him

Based on the thumbnail, I thought the question was going to be "which Spider-Man is the best?" 😂

The correct answer is obviously the Roman Empire.

Thanks Matt, you just validated my whole life 😂. To be honest, most women I’ve been dating lately only really seem to care if you’re “fun”. We all know building a life long strong family all depends on how fun you are 🤦🏻‍♂️

I asked my husband and he came up with a detailed Top 4 list within 2 minutes 😂

I asked my male friend that question. He said samurai. Then the next day he said also the pyramids. A whole day later he was STILL thinking about the question. Legendary.

In the 1700s men were attracted to woman's natural scent. To stop from being accosted by too many gentlemen callers, a product was developed. Perfumey soaps applied to the clothes would remove and mask any odors. A whole new industry sprung up.
That industry? Laundry DeterGents.

For anyone who reads, the correct answer is the late medieval period.

I could totally rant about ancient history to a date

The Industrial Revolution, when the world depended on America's economy instead of the other way around.

The fact that she asked the question is more a factor in determining her intelligence more than his. After all first she has to even know what you're talking about when you start answering the question. Lol

Pre-flood world, time of Jesus, Roman Empire specifically Julius and Augustus Caesar, WW2, and the last days before rapture we're living in now.

As a guy, yes please ask us this. The more I get to talk about the Revolutionary War, the better.

Would be cool to sail into port of Constantinople knowing nothing of the world before that

This is actually genuinely good advice for women going on dates and in the dating market. It may sound silly to women but I'm telling you, as a guy, do it.

Always love the Roman Empire, can’t get enough of the Cold War, I’ve listened to “what we saw” like 5 times in this past year, but I’m at the moment listening to a book about America, 10ish hours long, very fascinating.
