I first heard this song on the middle of a break-up with a woman who made me pay for her abortion, which I realized months later ir wasn't mine. Also, my mother got cancer which until today never went away. It made me cry A LOT. btw, that whole album is the brightest pearl of the darkest sea. Today I'm a father and I'm with the best partner I could've asked for, and hear this song it still brings me to tears. You know why? Because escence never delutes and if you don't realize that the present is what you have to enjoy, you keep "drowning on the surface" "washed up on purpose". Thank you PEARS.
